All right..we're back at Archie's..this time for fish fry Friday..portions were large..fish was great..exactly what we were looking for..potato soup was great..ordered for pick up..they texted us when the order was ready!!..luckily we were already in the parking lot..this place is great!!
The most underrated diner in La Porte county. We love Archies! It's economical- my husband and I can eat here for well under $20. He is a gyro snob and loves their gyro. I love all the breakfast food. And mini tacos. And their fries.
Went here a couple of years ago and had their breakfast, wasn't impressed.....But...One day, one of our vendors brought us out lunch. They brought out Italian Beef sandwiches. I haven't had a Italian beef sandwich like that in years. I asked the vendor where they got them from and they informed me it was Archie's. I replied, Archie's?? LaPorte?? They said yes. I was pleasantly surprised!! Now I now where to go for a great Italian beef sandwich.
Archie's. A local landmark. I used to come here as a drunk teen with my friends for some delicious greasy food. I've been a fan of the chicken sandwich when I've been drunk and when I've been sober. The staff is friendly and always go above and beyond when a girl says "extra pickles on that sandwich!". They do not disappoint. Yeah it's smoky, and attracts the weirdos, but that's part of its charm.
Great service, great food, great prices! My only wish would be that Fox News NOT be on the TV in the dining room 24/7
